Mint a basket

Minting turns USDC into basket tokens. The app buys your share of every token in the basket through Jupiter. The program deposits them in the basket’s vaults and then mints basket tokens to you.

Enter a USDC budget in the Mint panel of a basket’s page. The app asks Jupiter for a route into every component and shows:

Line Meaning
You receive Basket tokens you’ll get, sized to fit your budget.
Estimated spend USDC the swaps will use, plus the mint fee.
Unused budget What’s left of your budget. It never leaves your wallet.
NAV per token What one basket token’s holdings are worth at current prices.
Fee The basket’s mint fee. Hover it to see how it splits between the treasury, stakers and any creator.
Route USDC → swap → mint.

The quote refreshes every 30 seconds. If you press Mint with an older quote, the app fetches a fresh one first. Your budget is a hard limit. The program won’t spend more USDC than the budget you approved, swaps and fees included.

The swaps cost a little more than NAV because of DEX spreads and price impact. Each swap allows up to 0.5% slippage. A thinly traded component costs more to buy in large amounts. So large mints into baskets with small-cap tokens can pay noticeably more than NAV.

A basket with many tokens needs one Jupiter route per token. These routes don’t fit in a single Solana transaction, so a mint is split into steps:

  1. Open. Records your mint and the amount of each token it needs. It also locks in the fee rate.
  2. Swaps. Buys the tokens into the basket’s vaults, up to three tokens per transaction.
  3. Finish. Collects the fee and mints your basket tokens.

A six-token basket takes about four transactions. Your wallet asks you to approve each one in order, because each depends on the one before. The app simulates every transaction before showing it to you.

  • Open. The program records the mint: what each vault needs, your $100 limit and the fee rate.
  • Buy SOL, JTO and JUP. Jupiter swaps your USDC straight into each token's vault.
  • Buy PYTH, RAY and ORCA. The next transaction buys the rest. Each vault must receive at least what the mint needs.
  • Finish. You pay the 0.1% fee in USDC and receive your SOLB. The unspent $0.90 never left your wallet.
Example: a $100 budget into SOLB at a NAV of $1.00, leaving out swap costs.

When a basket has no supply, the first mint uses the basket’s configured token amounts per basket token, which must divide exactly. If your budget is too small to mint a whole step, the app tells you the minimum.

  • Only USDC. The Mint panel takes USDC. To start from SOL or another token, swap to USDC first, or buy the basket token in Markets if it has a pool.
  • Mints pause during rebalances. While a fixed-weight basket is rebalancing, new mints and redeems wait for it to finish. The app tells you, and nothing is charged.
  • One operation at a time per basket. You can’t open a second mint or redeem on the same basket until the first one is finished or recovered. Other people’s mints never wait on yours.
  • Fees are fixed at open. If a basket’s fees change while your mint is running, your mint keeps the rate it opened with.
