Finish or recover a mint or redeem
A mint or redeem takes several transactions. If one fails, you reject one, or you close the tab, the operation stays open with everything it has done so far. Nothing is lost, and no one else can take it.
The app checks for an open operation every 15 seconds while you’re on a basket’s page, and shows what you can do.
- 0 min. A mint opens and its first swaps buy 3 of the basket's 6 tokens into the vaults.
- Interrupted. You close the tab. The tokens bought stay set aside for you, and Continue mint picks up where you left off for 20 minutes.
- Expired. Anyone can now unwind it. Basket's keeper does, and your tokens go to your refund escrow.
- Claim. Only you can move them to your wallet. If you cancel the mint yourself first, they go straight to your wallet.
Continue before it expires
Section titled “Continue before it expires”Every mint and redeem expires 20 minutes after it opens. Until then:
- Mint: the panel shows Continue your mint with how many swaps are done, and a Continue mint button. It continues the same mint with fresh quotes. Completed purchases are kept, and your original spending limit still applies.
- Redeem: continue the remaining sales the same way. If no swap has run yet, you can also cancel the redeem right away to get your basket tokens back.
Recover after it expires
Section titled “Recover after it expires”Once an operation expires, it can’t continue. It can still be cancelled and unwound:
- A mint returns the tokens it already bought, not USDC. Click Cancel mint & recover tokens. You can sell them or keep them.
- A redeem returns its unsold components. If nothing was sold, it re-mints your basket tokens instead. Click Cancel redemption & recover tokens.
Until recovery finishes, you can’t open a new mint or redeem on that basket. The app shows Recover the interrupted operation first.
Why it works this way
Section titled “Why it works this way”Each user has their own operation per basket, so one person’s stuck mint never blocks anyone else. Anyone can unwind an expired operation and pay it out without the owner’s cooperation. So expired operations can’t keep a basket’s rebalances waiting either. See Security and trust.
Account deposits
Section titled “Account deposits”Each mint or redeem creates a small on-chain record. It is paid for from your SOL as a refundable deposit. Once the operation is finished and nothing is left to claim, anyone can close that record. The deposit always goes back to you.
